13teen is a fun, single player, card game that tests your mastery of addition.
It deals eight (8), ten (10) or twelve (12) cards from the deck. The player removes two (2) cards that adds up to thirteen (13) by tapping or clicking on them consecutively. For example, clicking on six (6) and then seven (7) would be correct. The two cards are them automatically replaced with new cards from the deck. This is repeated until all the cards are dealt from the deck. At this stage, the game is over.
The game is also over, and the player would have lost, if the game reaches a stage where none of the cards that were dealt add up to thirteen (13).
Aces are equal to one (1), jacks to eleven (11), queens to twelve (12) and kings to thirteen (13). All other cards are equal to the value on their faces. Since kings are equal to thirteen (13), they are removed alone and automatically replaced by one card from the deck.
When the game is over, the player can start a new game by choosing “New Game” from the menu. The menu also allows the player to choose the number of cards dealt.
It keeps score of the number of unsuccessful attempts (errors) and a clock records the time that the player takes to complete the game.
